Toyota C-HR EV Recall: Software Bug Could Cause Loss of Drive Power
Toyota has announced a recall of approximately 10,000 2026-model C-HR EVs across North America due to a software issue that could potentially cause a loss of drive power.
According to Toyota, under certain conditions, the regenerative braking system may overcharge the vehicle’s battery when it is already highly charged. This could cause the electric drive system to shut down, increasing the risk of a crash, particularly at higher speeds.
