Officials confirmed that the buses will operate between the Gujar Khan Bus Terminal and T‑Chowk near Rawat on the Grand Trunk Road. Fourteen electric buses have been allocated for this route, with free travel facilities for senior citizens, women, and students. Each bus is equipped with seven surveillance cameras to ensure passenger safety, particularly for women.

The ministers highlighted that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to modern, eco‑friendly, and inclusive transport. They also announced plans to induct 1,100 buses across Punjab this year and another 1,500 next year, positioning the province as a leader in sustainable public transport.
