LONDON: Honda has officially launched its new Super-N EV hot hatch in the United Kingdom, with prices starting at £18,995 (approximately $25,000). It features a front-mounted electric motor producing 63 horsepower, while a new Boost Mode increases output to 93 horsepower, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in around 10 seconds. Powered by a 29.6 kWh battery, the EV offers a driving range of up to 128 miles under the WLTP cycle and as much as 199 miles in city driving conditions. The battery can also charge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes using a 50 kW fast charger.

Inside, the Super-N includes a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system. Honda has also added an Active Sound Control system that simulates the feel and sound of a traditional seven-speed transmission, enhancing the driving experience. With its affordable price and sporty character, the Super-N is expected to compete with electric models such as the Renault 5 E-Tech and the Hyundai Inster in the growing EV hot hatch segment.
