Xiaomi Accelerates EV Push as SU7 Deliveries Hit 5,000 in First Week
Xiaomi, led by CEO Lei Jun, reported a strong market response to the 2026 Xiaomi SU7, with first-week deliveries reaching between 4,000 and 5,000 units. The model, launched on March 19, quickly gained traction, securing around 15,000 orders within just 34 minutes. Xiaomi’s improved production readiness and pre-stock strategy helped accelerate early deliveries.

The updated SU7 retains its sleek fastback design while introducing refined exterior elements, including a redesigned grille with integrated radar and new color options. Inside, the vehicle features an advanced intelligent cockpit with a large 16.1-inch 3K display, head-up display, and extensive connectivity options such as dual 5G and IoT integration. Enhanced comfort features, including adjustable seating and a “zero-gravity” passenger seat, further elevate the in-car experience.
On the performance side, the SU7 lineup offers multiple variants with strong electric output and long driving ranges of up to 902 km. Fast-charging capabilities allow significant range gains in just 15 minutes. The model is also equipped with advanced safety and driver-assistance systems, including LiDAR, radar technologies, and a high-performance computing platform, positioning Xiaomi as a serious competitor in the EV sedan market.
