KARACHI: The Sindh government has officially approved a significant initiative to install over 600 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the province. This landmark decision marks a crucial step forward in promoting clean and sustainable transportation solutions within Sindh.

The approval was granted to China’s ADM Group during a high-level meeting with Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Sindh’s Local Government Minister. Minister Shah emphasized that this extensive project aligns perfectly with the province’s overarching goals of reducing carbon emissions and fostering sustainable development. The initiative will now proceed to the Special Secretary of the Local Government & Highways & Transport Department for the next phases of implementation.
A follow-up meeting with the CEO of ADM Group is anticipated in early December to finalize the operational framework and commence the execution of the project. This ambitious undertaking is expected to make a substantial contribution to achieving the region’s environmental objectives and will play a transformative role in modernizing Sindh’s transport industry, paving the way for a greener future.
