Anti-Smuggling Victory: Quetta Customs Impounds High-Value NCP Vehicles
Pakistan Customs has carried out a major anti-smuggling operation in Quetta, impounding non-custom-paid (NCP) vehicles worth nearly Rs81 million.
The operation, led by the Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement), Quetta, reflects the department’s strengthened efforts to curb the illegal movement of high-value vehicles across Balochistan.

According to official sources, the action was initiated following credible intelligence shared by the Chief Collector (Enforcement), Islamabad. Acting swiftly, a specialized customs team conducted a raid on a privately operated godown situated along the Main RCD Highway in Mastung, a location often used by smugglers due to its strategic connectivity.
During the raid, officers discovered 11 smuggled vehicles, all parked within the facility. The seized inventory includes a variety of luxury and hybrid models: four Toyota Prius, two Toyota Aqua, one Toyota CH-R, one Honda Vezel, one Nissan 350Z, one Toyota Corolla Fielder, and one Toyota Prado Jeep.
These vehicles, brought into Pakistan without payment of mandatory customs duties and taxes, were immediately taken into custody under relevant provisions of the Customs Act, 1969.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) praised the Quetta Enforcement team for its effective intelligence coordination, timely action, and professionalism. FBR reiterated its commitment to intensifying countrywide anti-smuggling campaigns, safeguarding public revenue, and promoting lawful economic activity. It added that such operations will continue to be strengthened to support Pakistan’s broader trade and fiscal objectives.
