CLA EV Outpaces Tesla Model 3 in Range, Adds Ultra-Fast Charging and Premium Tech
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its most advanced and surprisingly affordable electric vehicle to date—the 2026 CLA EV. Starting at $47,250, the CLA 250+ with EQ Technology offers a driving range of up to 374 miles, surpassing the Tesla Model 3. The CLA EV marks the beginning of a new generation of Mercedes models and will be available in two trims: the CLA 250+ and the CLA 350 4MATIC.
The CLA 250+ features a rear electric motor delivering 268 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque, while the CLA 350 4MATIC adds all-wheel drive with 349 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. Built on an 800V architecture, the CLA EV supports ultra-fast charging—adding 100 miles in just 5 minutes or 202 miles in 10 minutes using a 320 kW DC fast charger. With a drag coefficient of 0.21, it rivals the aerodynamic efficiency of the Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai IONIQ 6.

The setup includes a 10.25″ driver display, a 14″ central infotainment screen, and a 14″ passenger screen. Optional features include a Burmester 3D Surround Sound System with 16 speakers and Dolby Atmos. The exterior boasts a redesigned grille with 142 illuminated stars, LED headlights, and signature Mercedes styling, blending luxury with cutting-edge EV performance.
